A Monroe County man was jailed on July 13 on charges stemming from a domestic incident.
State police at Lehighton said troopers were dispatched to Kunkletown Road in Ross Township at 12:35 p.m. for a domestic violence incident. On scene troopers said a 47-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, was severely injured in a physical altercation with Charles Diller, 36, also of Saylorsburg.
Diller was taken into custody later in the day on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault - attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference, a felony 1; and misdemeanor counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person; and a summary offense of harassment.
He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville, failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
