Attorney Roger N. Nanovic, Palmerton, today was appointed solicitor to the Carbon County Commissioners, succeeding the late Donald L. McCay, Esquire, Weatherly, whose death occurred recently.

The appointment was made effective July 15 and his salary will be $5,054 a year, the same as was paid his predecessor.

Nanovic, who maintains a law office on Broadway in Jim Thorpe, also serves as assistant district attorney, a post he is expected to resign due to his new position.

He was appointed solicitor to Weatherly Borough earlier this year, succeeding to the vacancy created by McCay’s death, and also serves a number of other solicitorships in the county.
