Resort guest house on hold

The Lower Towamensing Township supervisors didn’t have a chance to reject plans by Blue Mountain Resort on Tuesday night, because Barbara Green, the owner of the resort, pulled them.

The plans involved the creation of a 13-room guest house on property owned by the resort on Lower Smith Gap Road.

Christine Wentz, the secretary for the township, said Blue Mountain had 90 days to submit the plans to the township.

Without the plans, the supervisors have to reject the project.

Green’s only other option to keep the project alive was to submit a letter from her engineer requesting an extension for submission of the plans.

“Right now, there aren’t any definite plans to report,” Green said in an interview. She said they should have some definite plans within six months.

“We plan to finalize a master plan for the resort that we will be rolling out to the township,” Green said.
