Franklin Township posted victories in Connie Mack play and District 18 Little League action over the weekend.

Franklin Township-Emmaus
Aiden Rarick’s RBI double in the top of the ninth inning Friday broke a tie game and lifted Franklin Township to a 9-8 Connie Mack victory over host Emmaus.
Rarick finished the contest with three hits and two RBIs, while Ian Rarick delivered three hits - two of them doubles - and two RBIs. He also added three runs scored.
The winners, who won their ninth straight game, also received two hits from both Cameron Gable and Carter Birnbaum. Brady O’Donnell added a hit and two RBIs, with Dawson Keiser contributing a hit and two runs scored.
Keiser gained the pitching win, tossing 7 2/3 innings after entering the game in relief in the first inning. Keiser allowed six hits and just one run while striking out four. Cameron Gable recorded the final two outs for the save.

Valley Athletic-Hegins
Lucas Scheib pitched a two-hit shutout Sunday to lead Hegins to a 10-0 Schuylkill Teener League win over Valley Athletic.
Scheib, who walked one and struck out 10, also collected two hits at the plate. Braxton Schwartz added a hit and three runs scored.
Valley Athletic’s hits came from Cian McLaughlin and Ryan Vecolitis.

Valley East-Towamensing
Valley East’s Leo Ventra and Chase Quinn combined on a five-hitter to defeat Towamensing, 5-2, on Sunday.
Ventra struck out five and gave up three hits and two runs over the first 2 2/3 innings. Quinn relieved and recorded the final 11 outs for the winners, who will now meet Tri-County/Weatherly in a winner’s bracket game on Thursday.
Jared Grammes suffered the pitching loss for Towamensing, surrendering five runs on five hits in four innings. Grammes struck out four.
Grammes, Riley Lawless, Lukas Rivera, Chase Wilson and Mathew Gombert all had hits for Towamensing, who will face Freeland on Tuesday in the loser’s bracket.
Tamaqua-Valley West
Valley West defeated Tamaqua, 10-4, on Sunday.
For Tamaqua, Logan Deiter had a double and three RBIs, Jake Yenser had two hits and scored a run, and Paul Jazowski had a single and a run scored.

Franklin Twp.-Tamaqua Blue
Franklin Township broke an 8-8 tie Sunday with four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and held on for a 12-9 victory over Tamaqua Blue.
Jake Albert had two hits and scored a run for Franklin, while Ethan Laible added a hit and three runs. The winners also received a hit and two runs from Brock Atwood. Carter Spotts and Garrett Utrata each chipped in with a hit and a run.
For Tamaqua, Jayden Vidzicki had two hits, including a three-run homer in the third inning. Gavin Shannon finished with three hits, one a double, while Chayse Smith added a hit and two runs.
Laible tossed 4 2/3 innings for FT, allowing two earned runs and striking out four. Atwood earned the win in relief, pitching 1 1/3 innings.

Towamensing-Valley East
An eight-run second inning on Saturday helped Towamensing offset an earlier deficit and gain a 13-8 victory over Valley East.
Xavier Ahner and Hunter Vasquez both delivered two-run singles during the big second frame, while Parker Ahner added an RBI hit and Brody Mertz knocked in a run.
Cade Serfass, who had two hits at the plate, gained the pitching win. Serfass allowed six hits in 4 1/3 innings while striking out nine. Luke Machalik and Robbie George closed out the game in relief of Serfass.
Xavier Ahner and Vasquez both finished with a pair of hits for the winners.
For Valley East, Brayden Matteo had multiple hits, including a three-run homer during a six-run first inning.
Jim Thorpe-Tamaqua White
Jim Thorpe’s M. Domski pitched a no-hitter Saturday to lead his team to a 12-1 victory over Tamaqua White.
Domski walked five and struck out seven in the four-inning contest.
B. Rummel had two hits and scored three runs for the winners, while L. Knopft finished with a single, double and two RBIs. D. Calcano added a hit and two RBIs. Domski helped his own cause by knocking in a pair of runs.
The winners also received a hit, RBI and two runs scored from L. Schrantz.

Freeland-Tamaqua Blue
Tamaqua exploded for 17 first-inning runs and went on to defeat Freeland, 24-1, on Saturday.
Gavin Shannon had a single, a double, a home run and drove in five runs to lead Tamaqua Blue. Chase Smith added three hits and scored twice; Mason Evans had two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored; Chayse Barron had two hits and scored twice; Jaedon Vidzicki had two hits and scored three runs; Bryce Eltringham had a hit, three runs scored and two RBIs; Troy Hartman had a hit, two runs scored and two RBIs; Ryder Holmberg had a hit three runs scored and two RBIs; and Jayden Rex had a hit and scored twice.
