Jonathan Sheehan of Jim Thorpe was among 12 members of The University of Scranton’s class of 2021, along with graduates from East Stroudsburg University, King’s College, Penn State Scranton and Wilkes University, who were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during an in-person ceremony held on campus on May 29.

Sheehan majored in kinesiology at the Jesuit university.
