Northwestern’s Marissa Christman helped the Lehigh Valley Carpenter Cup softball team post a 2-1 record in action Monday.
After the team lost its opener, 1-0 to Burlington County, Christman went 4-for-4 in a 12-7 win against Inter-Ac/BAL. The third baseman had a double and knocked in five runs in the victory.
Christman again produced at the plate in their final contest of the day, an 8-7 victory over Olympic Colonial. She went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
The Tiger product is the only player from the Colonial League on the LV squad, which earned the top seed in Bracket A with the two wins.
Lehigh Valley will be in action again on Wednesday at 9 a.m. hoping to advance to the 1 p.m. semifinals and the 3 p.m. finals.
