Carbon Monarchs

North Parkland turned back the Carbon Monarchs for a 9-7 Lehigh Valley Legion victory.

Jake Barto was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored to help North Parkland build a 9-2 lead through the top-half of the sixth inning.

Matthew Razzis added a hit and three RBIs, and Austin Scherff tripled among his two hits. Jeremy Rodriguez also finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

The Monarchs rallied in the bottom of the sixth, plating five runs.

Jared Marykwas and Noah Snisky (2-for-4) both knocked in two runs with singles, while Garrett Lienhard (2-for-3, two runs scored) had an RBI-double.

Marykwas finished 3-for-4, including a double, with three RBIs and two runs scored. David Berger also had two hits and scored a run.

The Limeport Bulls edged the Berlinsville Braves 2-1 in Blue Mountain League action.

Gianni Sinatore was 2-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and a stolen base for the Bulls (8-2). On the mound, Cooper Michael scattered six hits over seven innings, striking out eight without allowing a walk or an earned run.

Northwestern graduate Jake Augustus was 2-for-4 for the Braves (1-8).

Northern Lehigh grad Cody Krupa added a hit and drove in a run, and Matt Mellinger finished 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Former Pleasant Valley hurler Dakota George pitched well in defeat, tossing six innings. He allowed seven hits and just two runs.
