West End Wings to present air show Sunday

West End Wings Remote Control Flying Club will hold its 42nd annual Father’s Day Remote Control Air Show on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at 249 Mayfield Drive, Effort.

The event will include various remotely controlled aircraft taking the skies and on display for the afternoon.

There will be helicopters, jets, military, sport and novelty planes flying.

The novelty items include a flying flag, lawn mower, witch, stop sign, car, super hero as well as a pizza and pizza box.

There will also be refreshments for purchase and a children’s balsa glider toss as well as a children’s candy drop.

Members will be available to answer questions about the hobby and the aircraft.

Bring a chair or blanket. There is a great view from the hillside of the skies being filled with aircraft.
