Carbon County emergency personnel were called onto service Saturday afternoon to remove an injured woman from the D & L trail. The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. near the border of Mahoning and East Penn township. The woman reportedly suffered a shoulder injury. She was treated by Lehighton paramedics before being transported. The Lehighton and Mahoning Valley fire companies responded to the scene with the Lehighton fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene.
