Whether it’s a charity, nonprofit or community event in or around Bowmanstown, chances are it was either planned by or supported by the Reesers.
For their continued support of the community, Rodney and Marcella Reeser were recognized on Tuesday as the borough’s Neighbor of the Month.
The couple received the award from Mayor Zach Snyder, who noted if there’s anything going on in the community, the couple has their fingerprints all over it.
“Most recently, like our May Neighbor of the Month, the first words out of the Reesers’ mouths are always “How can we help?” Snyder said.
Snyder said that includes the Planning Commission, water authority and Bowmanstown Area Residents Connected, just to name a few.
Additionally, he said the Reesers have been a huge part of efforts such as the Little Library, the new park benches, the new blessing box, the chalk wall and the endless tunnel maintenance.
Snyder told them that he appreciates everything they do for the borough.
