They’ve exhibited a degree of excellence in the classroom and in their community that is second to none.
As such, a select group of Palmerton Area High School students were recognized with a resolution by borough council.
Accompanied by family members, the students received the accolade for their success in academics, along with school and community participation.
Seniors Emily Baumgardt, Molly Campbell, Carissa Fallon, Timothy Iles, Gina Laviolette and Megan Serfass were honored with a resolution for their levels of activities and achievements.
Councilman Kris Hoffner told the students that he either taught or coached them at one point or another throughout their time in the district.
The students were chosen by high school administrative staff for the recognition based on their academic standing and involvement in school and community sponsored activities.
