June 3, 2010 - Pat Kregeloh pitches a two-hit shutout to lead Pleasant Valley to a 5-0 victory over Parkland in the District 11 Class 4A championship game. It is the Bears’ third baseball title, having also won in 1981 and 1984. Kregeloh walks four and strikes out 10 in the win. PV, coached by Karl Rentzheimer, grabs an early lead as Derek Walling doubles in the first inning and scores on Drew Borger’s RBI single. Borger later scores on an error. The Bears add three more runs in the third on a run-scoring hit by Chris Kershner and Tim Shea’s two-run double.
