High tribute was paid Judge James C. McCready, retired, Summit Hill, yesterday during a special session of the Carbon County Court with Judge Albert H. Heimbach presiding.

During the impressive testimonial ceremony, a large portrait of Judge McCready was unveiled. A gift from the Carbon County Bar Association, the portrait of the retired jurist will hang on the wall of the courtroom, alongside his late predecessors.

Judge McCready, who ably served the people of Carbon County from 1940-60, in his remarks told the court, “Service is important in a man’s life. Serve God, serve man and serve mankind.”
