David Kennedy, president of the KNBT Division of National Penn Bank, announced today it has contributed more than $75,000 to Carbon County’s Intermediate Unit.

The Jim Thorpe, Panther Valley, Palmerton and Weatherly school districts, along with the Carbon County Career Institute, all which participate in the self-funded insurance consortium, shared equally in the contribution, he said.

Annually, KNBT makes a contribution to each of these school districts to fund various programs and projects. Each school district uses their discretion to evaluate the most suitable program to receive the funding. KNBT and the National Penn Investors Trust Company collaborate on the administration of the program.
