The Berlinsville Braves jumped out to an early lead but failed to score the rest of the game and dropped a 3-1 decision to Limeport in a Blue Mountain League contest on Sunday.
Limeport pitcher Brian Robison gave up a first-inning run, but tossed shutout ball the rest of the way. Robison allowed just five hits and three walks while striking out eight.
The Braves received a hit and RBI from Austin Mueller, while Northern Lehigh graduate Cody Krupa finished with a double and two walks. Northwestern grad Jake Augustus also chipped in with a hit.
For the winning Dodgers, former Panther Valley standout Brad Buzzard reached base in all four of his plate appearances. Buzzard had two hits (one a double), walked and was hit by a pitch. He also drove in one of Limeport’s runs.
