Schuylkill arrests
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following arrests made by troopers at Schuylkill County locations.
On April 18 at 2:11 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta at Chestnut and South 4th streets, in Cressona. The driver, George Trout, 20, of Cressona, was found to be under the influence and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and charges to be filed.
On May 7 at 3:13 p.m. troopers conduct a retail theft investigation at Schuylkill Gun Works, located along Route 61, in North Manheim Township. The owners reported a weapon sight was removed from the store. As the result of an investigation Jay Paetzell, 39, of Minersville, was charged with retail theft. Value of the sight was set at $50.
On April 24 at 9:14 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along Route 901 at North Second Street, in Minersville. A passenger in the vehicle, a 29-year-old female from Minersville, who troopers declined to identify, was found in possession of about 4.5 grams of marijuana. Charges to be filed.
A traffic stop was conducted of a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Route 183 and Fire House Road, in Wayne Township. The driver, a 26-year-old female from Newtown, Bucks County, who troopers declined to identify, was found in possession of 9 grams of marijuana. Charges to be filed.
On May 13 at 9:34 a.m. a traffic stop of a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier occurred at Bridge and Spring streets, in Tremont. The driver, a 46-year-old male from Pottsville, who troopers declined to identify, was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Charges to be filed.
On May 14 at 7:10 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Schwartz Valley Road in Wayne Township for an active domestic dispute. Troopers said a 46-year-old male from Schuylkill Haven, who troopers declined to identify, had pushed a 62-year-old female from Hummelstown, Dauphin County. The male was cited for harassment - physical contact.
