The Bloomsburg University athletic department virtually recognized a record 246 scholar-athletes for their academic successes over the course of the past two semesters.

Scholar-athlete recognition was awarded to those who achieved a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher during the past two semesters or who have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.25.

Local students who were honored include:

• Aaron Bensinger from New Ringgold, a member of the football team.

• Cobe Frycklund from Lehighton, a member of the football team.

• William Munson from Albrightsville, a member of the men’s cross-country/track & field team.

• Brianna Dumond from Tamaqua, a member of the women’s cross-country/track & field team.

• Jenna Dubosky from Summit Hill, a member of the women’s volleyball team.

• Joshua Mason from New Ringgold, a member of the wrestling team.
