Panther Valley Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced the menu for the week of May 17-21.

Monday: Cabbage soup, cheeseburger, salad, fruit cocktail or chef salad with chicken

Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan, pasta, broccoli, grapes or ham and Swiss wrap

Wednesday: Sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin, hash browns, tropical fruit or tuna salad sandwich

Thursday: Roast beef, au gratin potatoes, peas and pearl onions, rice pudding or barbecue chicken salad

Friday: Roast turkey, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, Jello or turkey Reuben sandwich

The senior center also has the following events for the month:

Po-Keeno on May 17 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on May 18 at 10:45 a.m.; Cornhole on May 19 at 11 a.m.; Games on May 20 at 10 a.m.; Movie & Popcorn on May 21 at 10 a.m.

Scattergories on May 24 at 11 a.m.; bingo sponsored by Fox Rehab on May 25 at 11 a.m.; Yahtzee on May 26 at 11 a.m.; bingo on May 27 at 10:45 a.m.; Memorial Day picnic on May 28 at 10:30 a.m.

Pool, cards, games and socialization available every day.

Street sweeping

Nesquehoning borough reminds residents that street sweeping is taking place this week.

The streets will be posted and residents should watch for no parking signs.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather, or how long it takes the crews to complete each street.
