Marian announces science winners

Marian Catholic High School recognizes the following students for their outstanding achievement at the 2020-2021 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Competition Award Winners:

Special awards:

• Maxwell Schwabe, senior, son of Mary Beth Hayden, Hazleton: The Advisory Board Award Plaque and $500 for an Outstanding Senior and first place perfect score from all judges in biology and a six-year engraved pen Perseverance Award.

• Angela Pan, sophomore, daughter of Jerry and Jessy Pan, Hazleton, first place perfect score from all judges in behavioral psychology.

First place presentation:

• Vincent Pan, senior, son of Jerry and Jessy Pan, Hazleton, first place for chemistry and five-year engraved pen perseverance award.

• Benjamin Artz, senior, son of Quinn and Barbara Artz, St. Clair, first place for chemistry and three-year engraved pen.

All students qualified to attend the PJAS Virtual State Competition in May 2021.
