Tamaqua police charged Nicholas Page, 32, of Valley Street, New Philadelphia, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary motor vehicle offense of operation following suspension of registration.

The arrest occurred at 5:31 p.m. April 25 at Pine and Mauch Chunk streets, following a traffic stop.

No other details were given by police.
