The southbound exit ramp of Interstate 81 at Mahanoy City was closed Saturday morning due to a tractor trailer rollover.

The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. as the operator of the rig was traveling south on I-81 and entered the exit ramp for Route 54 west.

The rig rolled onto its left side in the sharp turn.

State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
