April 8, 1965 - The first baseball game in Panther Valley history is a successful one as Ken Boyd fires a two-hitter to help the Panthers gain a 3-0 victory over Northwestern. Boyd, who walks one and strikes out six, receives early support when his team pushes across two first-inning runs. Dave Padora delivers a two-run single, driving in both Minnie Goida and Gary Druss. Padora adds a triple in the contest, while Goida finishes with two hits, two runs and three stolen bases. PV, coached by Vince Spisak, also receives a pair of hits from Greg Davidyock.
