The nominating committee of the Nesquehoning Lions Club this week announced its selection of officers for the year to begin on June 1.

Leon Cook was tapped to be the new president, succeeding Tom Harrison. Other new officers will be Joseph Ficocelli, first vice president; Frank Kattner, second vice president; and Nick Totani, third vice president.

The committee selected the following members to retain their present posts: John Slivka, secretary; Mike York, treasurer; George Lengyel, Lion tamer; and Thomas Shober, tail twister.

Slated to be directors for one-year terms are Larry Mosser and Edward Zickler.
