State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.
• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 3:56 p.m. March 18 along Route 61 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said a vehicle was southbound in the northbound lanes. Dale S. Hadesty, 50, of Tamaqua, was northbound in a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. Hadesty swerved into the right lane to try to avoid a collision with the other vehicle but could not. After impact the other driver fled southbound. Hadesty was not injured and damages to his vehicle were termed minor.
• Another hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:51 a.m. on March 21 along Route 125 in Tremont Township. Troopers said an unknown driver as southbound with Charles Rosenberger, 32, of Pottsville, driving a 2018 Dodge Ram van in front of it. The other vehicle collided into the rear of the van. The other driver then passed the van in a no passing zone and fled the scene.
Rosenberger was not injured.
• A DUI-related crash was reported at 3:46 p.m. on March 4 along Route 183 in Cressona. Troopers said Thomas L. Bono, 34, of Sunbury, was exiting a parking lot of a service station to go south on 183 and was doing so at a unsafe speed and failed to yield to traffic before entering the road. Upon entering the westbound lane his 2017 Chevrolet Cruze struck a 2006 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Sandra J. Hill, 67, of Schuylkill Haven, and then struck a 2020 Kia Telluride operated by Erin M. Hopstetter, 25, of New Tripoli, Lehigh County. Bono continued on and entered a business parking lot and stopped. No one was reported injured.
Troopers said Bono is facing a DUI charge pending further investigation.
