The Monroe County Coroner has ruled the death of a 2-month-old female homicide.
Coroner Thomas Yanac Jr. said Ryann Bacchus died of “blunt force trauma to the head,” March 19 in Barrett Township. The infant had “multiple skull fractures” from the incident, Yanac said.
A copy of the death certificate has been provided to the Monroe County District Attorney’s office.
Three people have been charged in relation to her death, Yanac said. Names were not provided.
Endangering the welfare of a child is among the charges. Homicide charges have yet to be filed.
Detectives with the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and the district attorney’s office are pursuing the case.
The investigation is still ongoing.
