March 20, 2010 - Palmerton’s Shea Solt finishes her high school career on a positive note by capturing fourth place in the 500 freestyle at the state swimming championships. Solt reaches the championship final by posting a time of 4:58.51, over three seconds faster than her qualifying time. In the finals, the senior betters her mark with a 4:56.91. The Bombers’ KP Pielmeier also competes at states, finishing 11th in the boys 500 free. Other area participants include Palmerton’s Katie Pielmeier (24th in 100 breast) and Sawyer Allen (32nd in 100 breast), and Panther Valley’s Karoline Vavra (27th in 100 breast).
