The Jim Thorpe boys’ tennis team started the season with a victory on Friday, the first for new head coach Sam Lux.

Jim Thorpe rolled to a 4-1 non-league victory over Palisades.

Connor Rodgers posted a victory in a third-set tiebreaker (10-6) for the Olympians in the No. 1 singles match against the Pirares’ Will Clifford.

Daniel Teets also picked up a win at No. 2 singles for Thorpe.
