The Carbon Career & Technical Institute will hold graduation on June 18, rain or shine, at the CCTI campus, 150 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe.

The date is a little later this year due to the pandemic. The last day of classes is June 16.

The 2021 CCTI Prom will be held May 28, beginning at 5 p.m. at Penn’s Peak, Maury Road, Jim Thorpe. This year, all students in grades 9 through 12 are invited, and the cost of the $50 ticket for each student will be paid out of the 2020-2021 CCTI General Fund School Sponsored Activity Budget.

Principal Brent Borzak said they wanted to open it to all current CCTI students. “The kids deserve a break from all they had to deal with over the last year.”

The students will be seated six per table on the main floor to provide proper social distancing, plus Penn’s Peak will also seat them on the “wings,” the elevated areas to either side of the main floor.
