The Eldred Township Thrift Store is temporarily closed due to a positive COVID-19 test by one of the volunteer staff.

As a precaution, the Kunkletown Thrift Store will be closed until March 27 so the store can be sanitized in response to a reported positive test of COVID-19.

The Eldred Township Supervisors’ primary concern is for the thrift store volunteers and for the public which patronizes the store, operated by a crew of dedicated volunteers.

Township leadership feels confident that the store will reopen for the Prom Dress Sale on March 27 as scheduled.

The mandate to wear masks and to maintain the proper social distancing as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pennsylvania Department of Health is still in effect and everyone is asked to follow those recommendations.
