An elderly New Jersey resident was struck and killed by a car in Monroe County on Sunday.

State police at Stroudsburg identified the victim as Allan L. Johnson, 80, of Hackettstown.

According to troopers at 12:02 p.m. they were dispatched to Paradise Valley Road near Route 715, in Paradise Township, for a report involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. On scene the driver was identified as Patricia A. Doleiden, 85, of Stroudsburg. She was driving a 2012 Honda Accord.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details of the incident were released by troopers or if charges will be filed.
