Arthur “Ted” Kistler had quite a surprise at last night’s Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce’s Community Spirit Award dinner. An unsuspecting Kistler was named the recipient of this year’s annual award.

The award is presented to a person whose spirited efforts have made the Northern Lehigh community a great place to live and work. The award winner is not announced until the award is presented at the dinner program.

Presenting the award to Kistler was District Justice Edward Hartman. “If anyone could be called Mr. Slatington, it would be this man,” Hartman said. “Anyone who’s doing any type of project in Slatington always comes to Ted for help.”
