Faith Alive Church
Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. At 9 a.m. is traditional service and 10:30 a.m. is a contemporary service.
They have four options of worship: in the sanctuary, in Leah’s Room (masks required), in the parking lot (FM 104.3), or Faith Alive-Facebook Live. Sunday March 7 is Holy Communion. In the event of inclement weather, the delays or cancellations will appear on Channel 69 News WFMZ.
The Holy Week Worship Schedule is as follows:
March 28 at 9 and 10:30 a.m., Passion/ Palm Sunday
April 1 at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday with Communion
April 2 at 7 p.m., Community Good Friday Service
April 4 at 6:30 p.m., Easter Sunrise Service held outdoors
April 4 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Resurrection Sunday Worship Services
DVD Bible Study “Anxious For Nothing” by Max Lucado is held every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Bible Study “The Church in Babylon” is held every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Adult Bible study will be held March 11 and 25 at 2 p.m.
Youth Group “Impact” will meet March 7 and 21 from 6-8 p.m. All youth 12 years of age through 12 grade are welcome.
ABC Food Pantry is collecting food to stock up the pantry for needy people in the community. All monetary gifts or food will be welcomed and appreciated.
The Mission for March is The Gathering Place in Weissport. Their mission is to keep their facility open for use by faith-based groups needing space to do their mission work, create outreach programs, and support the needy locally.

Community Meal
St. John’s UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton is having a free takeout community meal on March 9 from 4:30-6 p.m. They will be serving pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and dessert.
Breakfast
Parryville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2, Main St., Parryville, will host a curbside and dine-in breakfast on March 7 from 8-11:30 a.m. Meat raffle ticket. Large and small platters are available.
To phone ahead only call 610-852-2350 or 484-347-3928. Besides an awesome breakfast, the members will also be selling meat raffle tickets, and Thompson’s hoagies that are being delivered March 17.
Soup sale
St. John’s UCC, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton is having a soup sale. Broccoli cheese or loaded potato soups are being sold.
Order by March 7. Call 610-826-2050 to place your order. Pickup date is March 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
BWC
Bethany Wesleyan Church, Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, is holding Nerf Night this Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Ages sixth through 12th grades are encouraged to join in the fun in the church gym.
Bring your own Nerf blaster or use one of the ones provided. There is no fee. Enjoy food, fun, prizes and more.
Fish fry tickets
Stop by the Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company for your tickets for the Annual Good Friday Fish Fry to be held April 2 from 3-7 p.m. Stop in Fridays or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Sundays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; or Mondays 7 to 9 p.m.
This will be a drive-thru event and you must purchase your ticket by March 22. They will not be selling tickets the day of the event.
Collect cans
The Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company has a trailer at the company grounds to collect aluminum cans and crushed cans. All support is appreciated.
