Marian tuned up for the district playoffs by gaining a 58-46 victory over Chester Charter Scholars Academy on Tuesday.

Frank Valente had seven first-quarter points as the Colts (14-3) jumped out to an 18-6 first-quarter lead.

Valente finished with 15 points, while Dewin Concepcion contributed a double-double (13 points and 10 rebounds). The winners also received 14 points from Dante Agosti.

Chester Charter was paced by Kevin Miller’s 13 points.

Marian, the top seed in the District 11 Class 2A bracket, opens playoff action on Tuesday in a semifinal matchup against either Schuylkill Haven or Shenandoah Valley.
