GLVR names new president
The Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors Association swore in its new president on Jan. 28.
Tim Tepes, the broker and co-owner of Assist 2 Sell Buyers and Sellers Realty, will take the helm for a one-year term.
He was sworn in by Christopher Raad, the 2021 Pennsylvania Association of Realtors President and past president of GLVR in 2015 and 2016, at a small, invitation-only ceremony at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton borough.
Tepes, a full-time Realtor since 1990 who specializes in residential resales, new construction and investment properties, replaces former GLVR President Jack Gross, of Better Homes and Gardens Cassidon Realty. The president of the association is elected by a nominating committee, which consists of the past president and two directors.
Before his time with Assist 2 Sell, Tepes worked for Coldwell Banker Heritage Real Estate and RE/MAX Unlimited Real Estate. His other business affiliations include Tepes Construction Co. Inc., T. Tepes Property Management Rentals, Treco Tepes Real Estate Co., North Star Settlement Services, and Notary Public.
In addition to serving on the GLVR Board of Directors, Tepes has served since 2005 on the association’s Grievance and Professional Standards committees.
He also has several designations including: graduate from the Realtor Institute, Remodelers Institute, Builders Institute; certified as a real estate brokerage manager, residential specialist, new home specialist and professional landlord; accredited buyer representative; and senior real estate specialist.
He is also affiliated with the Northampton Area Konkrete Kids Educational Foundation, Java Society Investment Group, Northampton Chamber of Commerce, Northampton Exchange Club, and others.
