February 11, 1987 - Marian’s Sean Love officially signs his letter of intent to attend Penn State University on a full scholarship. The Colts’ outstanding two-way tackle who was named to the AP All-Pennsylvania First Team took part in a signing ceremony with his father Pat, school officials, football head coach Stan Dick (Dakosty), Principal Jack Malarkey and PSU defensive line coach Jim Williams. The standout player said he selected Penn State on Jan. 23, the day before Joe Paterno visited Marian. Inquires on Love came from all the Eastern independents, Big 10, ACC, SEC and Pac-10 schools.
