February 4, 1985 - Jason Balliet’s performance down the stretch allows Palmerton to escape with a 69-67 Centennial League victory over Lehighton. With 1:05 to play and his team trailing by two points, Balliet comes up with a steal at the defensive end. He then hits a 16-footer to tie the score. After the Indians miss a shot, Rick Mlkvy grabs the rebound and gets the ball to Balliet, who drains a jumper from the wing with two seconds left to win the game. Balliet finishes with a team-high 25 points for the Bombers, coached by Pete Delich, while Mlkvy ends with 22. For Lehighton, Tom Kresge collects a game-high 36 points.
