Lehighton State Police report incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• On Jan. 19 at 9:30 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a Hyundai Elantra in Polk Township, Monroe County, for several traffic violations. The driver, Jesse Rose Jendrezewski, of Blakeslee, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of a controlled substance.

During the course of the investigation she intentionally put drugs in her mouth and swallowed an unknown substance. Troopers attempted to prevent her from swallowing the drugs as she resisted arrest.

She is facing charges of DUI, drug possession and resisting arrest.

• On Jan. 9 at 11:43 p.m. troopers stopped a 2014 BMW along Mill Road at Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Walnutport, who troopers declined to identify, was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody and transported for a breath test. Police said charges will be filed.
