Senior citizens and people with disabilities eligible for the state’s 2020 Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program can now file for their rebates online at mypath.pa.gov.

Submitting your application online can lead to faster processing and direct deposit options, an online tracking tool to track the status of your claim, and security features to ensure your sensitive information is safe.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate program benefits Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older with incomes limited to $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters. Half of Social Security income is excluded.

The maximum standard rebate is $650, but supplemental rebates for certain qualifying homeowners can boost rebates to $975.

The deadline to apply for a rebate is June 30. lnformation, as well as links to printable claim forms for those who wish to file that way, are also available.
