Power was restored within less than an hour to PPL customers in Palmerton after an outage Thursday afternoon.

The outage impacted 38 customers on and near Franklin Avenue, according to Alana Roberts, Regional Affairs Director, PPL Electric Utilities.

Roberts said the outage started at 4:31 p.m. and that power was restored by 5:20 p.m.

She said the cause was equipment failure.
