A third generation joined the Mahoning Township Lions Club when Thomas Zimmerman III was installed as a member during a meeting held this week at the Norman Square Inn.

Installed by District 14 Governor Clarence Nicholson, he was sponsored for installation by his father, Thomas Jr., with his grandfather, Thomas Sr., being a co-sponsor.

The Mahoning club was chartered 26 years ago with both of the elder Zimmermans as charter members. They are also past presidents of the club.

The district governor, who resides in Lehighton, is also a member of the Mahoning club.
