The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Lehigh County

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 West road sign work between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Route 309, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Jan. 28.

• Upper Macungie Township: I-78 road sign work between Exit 54 (Route 222) and Exit 49 (Route 100), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Jan. 28.

Monroe County

• Hamilton Township: Route 33/Route 209 inspection between Route 209 merges into Route 33 (Sciota) and Route 209 splits from Route 33 (Snydersville), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Multiple municipalities: I-80 West lane restrictions for core bore drilling between Exit 306 (Dreher Avenue) and Exit 305 (Route 209 Business), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.

Northampton County

• Bushkill Township: Mountain Road crack sealing between Bushkill Drive and Moorestown Road, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Palmer Township: Route 33 North pothole patching between Route 22 and Hecktown Road, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; Route 33 South highway beautification between Hecktown Road and Belfast Road, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

• Lower Saucon/Hellertown/City of Bethlehem: I-78 highway beautification between Exit 75 (To Route 611) and Exit 71 (Route 33), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

• Lehigh Township: Route 248 between Municipal Drive and Lehigh Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Schuylkill Township

• Mahanoy Township: Burma Road at I-81 inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

• Ryan/Blythe/New Castle Townships: Mount. Laffee Road pothole patching between Valley Road and Morea Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Also brush cutting and washout repairs between Route 61 and Valley Road.

• Tremont Township: I-81 brush cutting between Exit 107 (Route 209) and Exit 112 (Route 25), 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
