A Lehigh County jewelry store was robbed of over $10,000 on Wednesday.
State police at Fogelsville said the robbery was reported at 4:10 p.m. at Kay Jewelers, located at 707 N. Krocks Road, in Lower Macungie Township.
Troopers said a white man entered the store and asked to look at two necklaces.
Once the necklaces were on the store counter the man grabbed them and fled in a dark sport utility vehicle, possibly a Subaru. Taken was a 22-inch, 8.5 mm flat wire curb yellow gold necklace valued at $6,299.99; and a 22-inch, 6.8 mm Cuban yellow gold necklace valued at $4,199.99.
The suspect was described as being 5-feet, 11-inches tall, average build, wearing a black Boston Red Sox hat, blue shirt, bluejeans and black sneakers.
