Three Carbon County residents were charged following a vehicle stop made by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta was stopped at 2:26 a.m. Friday along Delaware Avenue at First Street in Palmerton for suspicious activity.

Troopers said through an investigation drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.

The driver, Bryce Sonon, 19, of Weissport, was found to be required to have an interlock system on his vehicle, which he did not have, and will be charged with that violation.

Two passengers will also be charged. Dylan Mabe, 19, of Weatherly, with possession of drug paraphernalia; and Jared Stella, 18, of Palmerton, with possession of a controlled substance.
