BOYS BASKETBALL

North Schuylkill-Lehighton

Richard Yturrino scored 17 points to lead Lehighton to a 55-43 Schuylkill League victory over North Schuylkill.

Tyler Rehrig drilled three triples and finished with nine points for the Indians (2-1), who used a big third quarter to break open a close game.

For the Spartans (0-3), Jack Flynn led the way with 17 points.

Ryan Caulfield scored a game-high 23 points for the Eagles, who erased a 43-32 deficit entering the fourth quarter. Bryce Hensley added 12 points.

Nate Gregoire paced the Raiders (0-3) with 17 points.

A quick start helped Pottsville take command en route to a 50-36 Schuylkill League win over Jim Thorpe.

Jazce Carabello-Snowell, Raeff DiCello and Mike Sukeena all had 12 points apiece for the Tide, who led 15-4 after the first period and 37-17 following the third.

Chris Condly and Derryl Fisher each scored nine points for the Olympians (0-4), who erupted for 19 points in the fourth quarter. Fisher had eight of his nine points in the final frame.

For the Olympians, Christian Barile and Logan O’Connor led the way with eight and seven points, respectively.
