A Schuylkill County man is facing drug charges in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt on Wednesday at 2:35 a.m. along Fritz Valley Road at Blakeslee Boulevard Drive in Mahoning Township.

Allen Scott Bauder, 36, of Andreas was found to be impaired and placed under arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Troopers also said they found multiple drug related items including five clear bags of varying sizes containing a total of about 1.4 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, one clear bag of suspected marijuana, one folded $100 bill and one folded $20 bill containing suspected meth; and one folded $20 bill containing Percocet pills.

Troopers also recovered $3,086 in cash. The suspect refused to submit to a blood test.

The suspect was arraigned on drug charges and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning.
