Tamaqua Area School Board decided Monday night that Jan. 18, will be a school day for district students, faculty and staff.

It was originally scheduled as an off day for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Two factors that influenced the decision were the recent break and a weather day to make up.

As of now, TASD is still closed on Feb. 15 for Presidents’ Day.
