Weatherly picked up a win in boys’ basketball action, while Tamaqua rolled to a wrestling victory on Monday.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Mahanoy Area-Weatherly
Weatherly rallied from an early 11-point deficit to post a 55-45 Schuylkill League victory over Mahanoy Area.
The Wreckers’ Scotty Zoscin scored a game-high 25 points, including 15 in the second half, while Antonio Colecio contributed 12.
The winners, who trailed 21-10 at one point in the second quarter, sealed the contest by hitting 11 of 14 free throws during the fourth quarter.
Kaden Styka paced the Bears with 19 points.
Weatherly (2-1, 1-1) returns to action Thursday at Lourdes.

A big fourth quarter helped Nativity rally for a 49-42 Schuylkill League victory over Marian.
Keegan Brennan scored five points in the final frame as the Hilltoppers used a 16-6 frame to pull out the win.
Marquis Ratcliff paced Nativity with 13 points, while Kegan Hertz added 10.
The Colts (1-1; 0-1) received a game-high 14 points from Dewin Concepcion, while Brendan Lonergan contributed 13.

Elyssa Yeagley poured in 33 points and Williams Valley turned back Panther Valley for a 53-30 nonleague win.
Yeagley scored 20 points in the first half, and 13 in the third quarter, to keep the Vikings in command. Tori Rabuck added 12.
Erika Dubosky had 15 points for the Panthers, who held Williams Valley scoreless in the final quarter.

Tamaqua received pins from four of its wrestlers to help gain a 46-6 win over Williams Valley.
The falls came from Nate Wickersham (285 pounds), Gabe Erbe (113), Randy Steigerwalt (145) and John Buday (189).
The winners, who benefited from three forfeits, also gained a major decision from Michael Shlanta at 138.
