Eldred Township Supervisors held their reorganizational meeting Monday immediately followed by the regular meeting.

The leadership of 2021 will remain the same this year.

Officers for 2021:

• Gary Hoffman, chairman; JoAnn Bush, vice chairman.

• Secretary/Administrative Assistant: E. Ann Velopolcek

• Treasurer: James Phillips

• Public Works Supervisor: Frank Fehlinger

• Township Solicitor and Planning Commission Solicitor: King Spry, Herman, Freund and Faul LLC, Michael Gaul representing, $165 an hour ($5 increase).

• Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor: Chad Martinez.

• Labor Issues: Flamm, Walton, Heimbach

• Engineer: Hanover Engineering Associates Inc. Brien Kocher P.E. representing (Senior Engineer Rate $119 an hour.)

• Sewage Enforcement Officer: Hanover Engineering Associates Inc., ($77 an hour), and Associates; Jacob Schray Scott Brown, Robert Grim, Christopher Taylor.

• Zoning and Codes Officer, Building Code, UCC Inspector, and Flood Plain Manager: SFM Consulting, Shawn McGlynn representing.

• UCC Joint Board of Appeals Member: Bruce Gower

Employees’ Salaries for 2021

Administrative staff: Treasurer; secretary/admin assistant and the public works director all received a 3 percent increase for 2021.

Public Works Department: Class 1, full-time CDL truck driver /laborer/heavy equipment operator, 3 percent increase; Class 2, full-time CDL truck driver/laborer/light equipment operator, 1 percent increase; current part-time CDL truck driver/laborer/light equipment operator, 1 percent increase.

• Janitorial staff: (part-time) current staff, $16 an hour.

New starting rates for 2021:

• Class 1, full-time CDL truck driver/laborer/heavy equipment operator, $18.50 an hour

• Class 2: full-time CDL truck driver/laborer/light Equipment operator, 17.50 an hour.

• Class 3: full-time truck driver non-CDL/laborer, $15 an hour.

• Class 4: part-time CDL truck driver/laborer/light equipment operator, $17 an hour.

• Class 5: part-time non-CDL truck driver/laborer, $15 an hour.

• Class 6: part-time (non-truck driver) unskilled laborer/flagger, $13.50 an hour.

• Janitorial staff, $13.50 an hour.

• Current part-time public work employees, for being available for work during the COVID-19 shutdown, $250 one-time, less all applicable taxes.

• One-time emergency COVID-19 Relief Stipend. When an employee is out because of COVID-19, the stipend is paid to the person who covers until the regular employee returns to work.

• Mileage reimbursement: Current IRS rate of 56 cents per mile.

Supervisors will meet the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. except January. Planning Commission meets the second Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Eldred Township Community Center Board meets the third Thursday at 3 p.m.
