2021 primary election: Rodriguez running for judge seat

Allentown attorney Carlos G. Rodriguez, 45, a former assistant district attorney and assistant public defender, will cross-file to appear on both parties’ ballots in the May 2021 primary for Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas Judge.

Rodriguez, who obtained a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law, has over 20 years of experience litigating cases in various areas of the law, including criminal, family, personal injury, workers’ compensation and medical malpractice in state and federal courts.

Rodriguez has also served as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau, Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas, Northampton County Court of Common Pleas, and United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his legal career, Rodriguez is a black belt in Kung Fu, served in the first Diocesan Pastoral Council for the Diocese of Allentown, and currently administers a Spanish speaking interdenominational telephone conference praying line.

Rodriguez, who decided to become an attorney in high school after his late father was fired from his work due to age discrimination, believes he “has the temperament, character, compassion and experience to be a fair and impartial Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas Judge.”

“In his effort to be transparent, gain the voters’ trust and serve all people equally, he will not accept political donations or contributions for his campaign.”
