State police at the Frackville barracks report on the following crashes:

• Police said Rodgers Young, 67, of Richmond, Virginia, was operating a 2013 Freightliner tractor trailed northbound on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 28 when a deer entered the roadway. The rig struck the deer and came to rest on the right shoulder of the road.

The driver was uninjured.

• Lise Munoz de Henriquez, 30, of Hazle Township, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed following a one-vehicle crash at 6:51 a.m. Dec. 29 on the Tresckow Road in Kline Township.

Police said she was driving a 2009 Subaru Forester and was approaching the intersection with Route 309 when she lost control of the SUV and it struck the guard rail. She was not injured.

The vehicle was towed.
